You may have heard of the WELL Building Standard, but do you really know how it relates to how a space is lit? How is it different than code? Than LEED?  In this presentation, we start with an introduction into the WELL Building Standard, why it’s needed, and what it is trying to accomplish.  Then we take a closer look at the 10 overall concepts included in the metrics and how projects are scored. Finally, we deep dive into the LIGHT concept pre-conditions and optimizations.

BIO:
Amanda Schaneman is an Architectural Engineering graduate from the University of Missouri – Rolla.  After graduating, she gained experience working at two engineering firms before transitioning to a specification sales representative role at several lighting agencies. Having determined that the more technical side of sales is what she enjoys most, she went to work as a regional sales manager for lighting manufacturers and joined Kirlin in 2021.  In her free time, she enjoys afternoons on the lake, Pilates, and reading.
