Egress? Emergency? Pathways? Lighting? Atria? Wait – what do I do?!?

Confused about egress pathways, emergency lighting, emergency controls, and the adjacent topics?  1fc min or 1 fc avg?  What do you mean extending to the right of way?  1008, 924, 101?!?

Join us for a lively afternoon seminar in which we discuss these topics and those related to them.  Our panel will include an architect, an electrical engineer, and a lighting designer presenting aspects of the topic for discussion with the group.  We will explore topics including how to determine occupancy and determine egress pathways, how to determine requisite light levels and control strategies, and typical ways to meet requirements.  We will also be examining common pitfalls and potential errors.

The afternoon will include lunch, hands on seminar team exercises, and demonstration of various technologies and equipment currently in use on projects today.

This seminar will be intermediate level.  Please have some level of knowledge of lighting and / or architecture within the built environment.  We will provide basic vocabulary to ensure that everyone is on the same page, but we will not be covering basic lighting or controls topics.  Architects, engineers, lighting professionals, lighting sales people, and those in related fields will all be appropriate participants.
