IES Seattle: A Journey Through the Psychology of Lighting Design
Join the IES Seattle Section over your lunch hour on March 26 for an in-depth look at how psychology shapes lighting design and how lighting, in turn, shapes human experience. 💡
Lunch is included with in-person attendance only. As of 3/24/2026 at 5pm, ticket sales with chosen included lunch will not be available, but you may still purchase a ticket and extra lunches will be available on a first come first serve basis however lunch will not be guaranteed with your ticket purchase.

About the speakers Doug Payne & Sarah Rushton:
About the speakers Doug Payne & Sarah Rushton:
Doug Payne has been an active member of electrical and lighting industry since 1994. He earned both the LEED AP and LC designation and has been a Regional Sales Manager for QTL Lighting since 2015. He previously was a Business Development Manager for General Electric and promoted Green Building techniques across all GE business units and applications, both domestically and abroad. Doug lives outside of St. Louis with his wife, three children and three rescue dogs, and likes to spend time outdoors and volunteer within his local community, church and children.
Sarah Rushton is the Regional Sales Manager at QTL, where she works closely with architects and designers to support the specification of architectural lighting solutions. She brings a multidisciplinary background that spans lighting design, sales and business development. Her experience across both the design and manufacturing sides of the industry gives her a practical understanding of how lighting performs in real projects. She is passionate about helping design teams translate creative concepts into well executed lighting solutions. ✨
